Resurrection
The large doors of the Pond's hangar opened up, and standing alone in the blackness of the garage, was Stivz, with his battle armor glistening in the sunlight. He slowly walked out of the shadows and into the sun where everyone could see him. He carried his puck rifle in his right hand, and his silver mask was donned on his beak. The eyes inside were a deep red.
The rest of the Ducks could not believe their eyes. Especially Wildwing. Dragonous saw the reborn Duck and played with his teleporter nervously. Soon, he disappeared in a flash of light. The rest of his own crew, also disappeared with him, with Chameleon having to help Siege reaching his teleporter.
Wing watched in both horror and in awe as his friend with the silver mask walked past him, as if he wasn't even there.
The regular Mighty Ducks were just as shocked. They had spent the entire day looking for traces of his body, and now he was alive and well, and about to confront Diablo. Tanya fainted, along with Nylessa and Erin from the Second Line. Blade just stood beside her brother as they both stared in disbelief. Chance came out from the garage and look at all the others' expressions, smiling.
Stivz kept walking towards the group of Saurians and stopped about ten feet in front of them. He looked over at Donovan and aimed his puck rifle at him. Donovan looked and flinched nervously. Then, Stivz fired a group of pucks at Donovan. The lizard was knocked to the ground, and his sword was flung over at the feet of Duke.
Duke reached down and picked up the sword. He examined it and then deactivated the blade. "I finally have what rightfully belongs to my family." He said.
Duke put his grandfather's sword in his pouch and looked over at Donovan.
"That's just the start of my collection." He said. Donovan staggered to his feet and found his way to Diablo's side.
Grin shoved Uvalde when the large lizard first saw Stivz. Uvalde tripped over his own feet and landed on his back at Miranda's side. The female duck helped Uvalde up and then stared at Stivz. Stivz stared right back at Miranda through the blazing eyes of the mask, he then recognised her.
"I see that you finally made it to where you would wind up." Stivz said to the duck. Miranda blushed.
"I remember you." She said. "How did you enjoy your time on the PuckWorld moon? I'm sure it was quite nice up there all alone."
Miranda laughed, and Diablo smiled at her.
"Actually, DeCoy," Stivz replied. "I had some time to think while I was up there, and I remember that I have a vandetta against you."
Miranda shrugged. Stivz continued.
"That's why I'm going to kill you along with that tall sack of Saurian sh*t beside you."
Diablo growled and stomped a foot towards Stivz. The duck with the silver mask immediately raised his rifle between Diablo's eyes.
"I'd be careful if I were you." Stivz said. "We can either end this now, or I can give you a second chance at life."
Diablo stepped back a little.
"I think it's about time for you to pick up all of your things and leave."
Diablo raised an eyebrow as he heard this.
"You're supposed to be dead."
Stivz smiled. "And your point is?"
"I'm going to make sure that you will stay dead soon."
"Go right ahead!" Stivz said. "I've died before, and I'm not afraid to die again. In fact, it's quite refreshing."
Diablo was shocked to hear such a reply. Stivz continued.
"Frankly, all I care about right now is seeing you six feet underground. And it doesn't matter how many times you kill me, because I'll be right back behind your shoulder. And I will take you down.""
Diablo sneered at the threat. "We'll see about that."
"I'll be looking out for you, so just watch your back."
"Look out for yours."
With that, Diablo waved to his henchman and they all teleported out of the area.
Wildwing came up behind Stivz and put a hand on his shoulder. He felt the hard shell of his battle armor, and he sighed a sigh f relief. "It's really you." He said.
Stivz turned around and looked over at Wing. "Who else would it be?"
Nosedive laughed. "Well, how many other Ducks have silver masks and are crazy enough to step alone in front of all those Saurians."
Mallory smiled. "I just can't believe that you're actually alive. The last time we actually saw you, you were under glass."
Duke rolled his eyes and scorned Mal. "Way to make him fell better, doll." He said sarcastically.
Blade came out from behind her brother, followed by Street, Warstrike, and Chance. Blade gave Stivz a hug, and began telling him about everything that was going on with everything else.
"Just one second." Stivz said. "I think I need to get settled back into the Pond. I could kill for a nice lie down."
"We know." Chance smiled.
Stivz then began to make his way to the Pond when he suddenly turned around back at Blade.
"What happened to the Authority?" he questioned.
Blade smiled and looked up into the eyes of the silver mask. They were now turning back into a mild blue.
"The Authority is dead. The people of PuckWorld are rebuilding the government and the cities as we speak."
Stivz smiled. "And what happened with the others?? Where are James and Dusty? And Betsy's not here either."
Street stepped forward and spoke to Stivz for the first time. "Um when they all about your . . . um . . death, they all walked off and returned to their lives on PuckWorld."
Stivz frowned. Warstrike saw his reaction.
"But don't worry," she said. "Betsy is going to use the Authority's technology to find a way to open Dimensional Gateways freely."
Stivz sighed and looked at the group of new Ducks. He saw Fasttrach and wondered what he was.
"You look like something a Saurian gave up for adoption." Stivz bluntly said.
"Don't worry about me." Fasttrach said. "I won't cause any problem."
"That's good to know." Stivz smiled.
Stivz was introduced to Phoenix, Coolette, and Cooleigh as he made his way back to his old quarters. The Ducks had not even touched it yet. Stivz opened the doors to his quarters and turned around. There were all the Ducks looking at him.
Stivz looked back at them puzzled. "Something wrong?" he asked.
Nosedive innocently asked the question that was on everyone's minds. "You're not going to disappear on us again, are you?"
Stivz chuckled a little and smiled back at his teammates. "No, I'm just going to be right here."
The team sighed with relief.
"You can count on it." Stivz said.
Stivz knocked on the door of Wildwing's quarters with a tool kit in his hand. Wildwing opened the doors and let Stivz in. It was the next day, and Stivz stayed up the entire night telling about his encounter with Corban in the Authority's headquarters tower, and then about him coming back from the dead and showing up unexpectedly. However, he couldn't remember his journey in "heaven".
Wildwing handed Stivz his battle gear boots and Stivz activated the jet blades.
"What happened again?" Stivz asked Wing.
"I was skating one time and a rock somehow jumped up into my wheel and jammed the bearings."
"Ouch." Said Stivz. "That's gotta suck, but it can be fixed."
Stivz took out a pair of alan wrenches and began to repair the bearings. "I might as well change the entire set of bearings and wheels." He said.
"Sure." Said Wing. "Go right ahead."
Stivz was unscrewing a bolt on Wildwing's blades when he looked up and saw a picture on Wildwing's countertop. Stivz gasped and clutched at his heart. He lost his breath, and he hunched over. Wildwing saw his friend in trouble, and he quickly rushed over to him.
"What's going on?!" he asked Stivz. Stivz then quickly regained control of his senses and he sat up straight. Wildwing wiped the sweat off of his brow and looked at Stivz.
Stivz pointed at the picture on the counter. "I saw her."
"Saw who?" Wing questioned.
"That's girl in the picture." Stivz gasped. "She was with me when I was dead and was taken to some place like heaven. Her name was Kaladan."
Wildwing was just about as shocked as Stivz. "Her name IS Kaladan." Wildwing said. "But I don't understandwhen you say you saw her. She lives back on PuckWorld."
Stivz suddenly got a both warm and cold sensation inside of him. He then looked up at his friend. "She's your future wife, Wing."
Wildwing shrugged. "I do plan to marry her someday. Once we find another way back to PuckWorld."
"No." said Stivz. "I mean that she is coming for you, and she is searching for you."
